Carmelites of Mary Immaculate

Principal Message 

The Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) is an International Congregation of men Religious serving the Church in 23 countries in six continents. This first and foremost indigenous Catholic Religious Congregation for men in India was founded in 1831 at Mannanam near Kottayam, Kerala by Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara. He laid the foundation for all the modern and progressive fields of activities to which the congregation is committed at present. In the educational field the CMI congregation runs several colleges, schools, training and technical institutes all over India. It is also involved in many other social and humanitarian activities.

The Lisieux Matriculation Higher Secondary School was founded in the year 1972 by Fathers of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) of the Preshitha Province and owned by the Little Flower Education Society.
