Our Patroness
St. Thérèse of Lisieux – Our Patroness
St. Thérèse of Lisieux (1873–1897), lovingly known as “The Little Flower,” was a young Carmelite nun from France whose short life blossomed with extraordinary faith, humility, and love. Though she lived only 24 years, her simple yet profound spiritual path, known as the “Little Way,” continues to inspire millions around the world.
St. Thérèse believed that holiness is not found in performing extraordinary deeds, but in carrying out ordinary tasks with extraordinary love, trust in God, and sincerity. Her life teaches us that even the smallest acts of kindness and sacrifice, when done with love, have great value in the eyes of God.
For the students of Lisieux Matriculation Higher Secondary School, St. Thérèse serves as a gentle guide and inspiring role model. She reminds us that true success is not measured only by marks, medals, or achievements, but by the values we practice each day — kindness, honesty, discipline, gratitude, humility, and compassion.
Her life encourages students to understand that simple actions such as helping a classmate, respecting teachers and parents, being truthful, and working hard with dedication can shape strong character and create a positive impact on society.
As our beloved patroness, St. Thérèse of Lisieux invites every student to walk the “Little Way” of love, simplicity, faith, and service, discovering that every sincere step taken with goodness and humility can lead to true greatness.
